*** OFFICIAL COPPERCAT *** DUBSTEP Albums In Prod… – CRYPTICON Concept Albums MySpace Blog
A two-hour, looping, semi-ambient Dubstep concept double-album is in production, due for release in late 2010 or early 2011, for Producer/Selector/Graphic Artist Alan Karalian‘s Crypticon Label. Its theme is deep-space travel and Martian terraformation, and is intended as a response to Snaps Provolone (Karalian) and Slade Brunner‘s (Mike “General” Green) epic The Space Lounge Syndicate, in this author’s opinion, the best underground album of 2007 (Yes, better even than the Coppercat or Bassnectar releases of the same year. It’s that good.)
(The Space Lounge Syndicate explores travel to the Moon and beyond in its inbetween-tracks ambient dialogue, with the substance of the album being minimal, bass and beat-heavy Dub with a massive Hip Hop influence. It’s reminiscent of Twilight Circus, Saint Germain, the Orb, Boards of Canada, and the Kottonmouth Kings. Critical for your collection, IMO.)
